Finishing: The Nozzle Tip
by Phil Colson

I think I have used every finish known to man: poly, shellac, oils, wax, CA glue and lacquer. I have applied finishes with brush, wipe on, and spray and nothing frustrates me more when using a can of spray to have the nozzle sputter or not work at all. I finally solved that problem. It was so simple that it was one of those "why didn't I think of that before?" moments.
When a can that sprays well becomes empty then I will save the nozzle of that can. I clean it with the appropriate cleaner and put it in a jar. When I purchase a new spray and one of the nozzles doesn't work well, I dispose of it and get one of my old working nozzles from the jar.
Simple yes. It works for me.
