I began working as a cabinetmaker apprentice at the age of 16 in my homeland of Switzerland. I was a journeyman before I was 20 years old, and I worked at a few different shops prior to moving to Canada. After working in a small family-owned shop for about seven years, I started my own business. Initially, I was doing installation work, but over time I acquired my own shop tools and started building cabinets in my garage. There I was able to create a variety of cabinets and furniture, including bedroom sets for my children's wedding presents.
Following a ski accident with serious complications in 2012, I was forced to change direction and began focusing primarily on building furniture. Now I design and build pieces of contemporary wood art. I get my inspiration from many different sources and am striving towards unique, one of a kind creations.
My personal goal is to always exceed expectations and to continue to challenge myself.
