The Essential Woodworker By Robert Wearing, Woodworking Hand Tools Explained
The Essential Woodworker is Robert Wearing's hand-tool masterwork. This book contains every skill you need to get into hand-tool woodworking. And it is explained with a minimum of fuss, using accepted traditional practice and with the assistance of more than 500 beautiful hand-drawn illustrations. Woodworkers often ask us what are the essential woodworking hand tools to buy, well this book should be purchase number one. Christopher Schwarz agrees, first published in 1988 his publishing company Lost Art Press brought it back to life in 2010 and for that woodworkers everywhere are eternally grateful. We have posted excerpts on Chris's review of the book on our blog The Essential Woodworker review .
