If you like to cook, you understand the importance of a sharp, durable knife. If you value quality, then you will appreciate the blades in these knife kits. To hold them is to love the look, feel and razor sharpness of these Hock blades. Add a custom handle of your design and you will create an awesome tool - and wow-inducing heirloom - for your kitchen collection.
The top quality, high carbon O1 tool steel in these blades makes for a superior cutting tool in the kitchen. This is the same steel employed in Hock Tools famous woodworking blades and plane irons for decades. You will quickly appreciate how easily it sharpens and how sharp an edge it will retain under daily use in your own kitchen.
To care for these tools and prevent corrosion, simply wash and dry after each use and never put them in the dishwasher. Sharpened lightly but often, your new knives will be treasured for generations.
These blades are sold without handles and include 3 steel pins. You will need to supply two pieces of wooden knife handle material approximately 1/4" x 1-1/4" x 5", plus epoxy glue (avoid the five-minute formulas – the slower setting ones are stronger and more water resistant).
