Miller Dowels offer a quick and convenient way to align and reinforce right-angle joints. Simply drill the hole with the Miller Dowel Drill, then glue and tap in the Miller Dowel. Choose the miller Dowel species for the most pleasing contrast or best color match. Shear and tensile strength should be roughly equal to that of a smooth, conventional 1/4" dowel.
The Mini-X is 1-5/8" long and works on 1/2" to 3/4" stock. The dowels come in packs of 100 and are available in birch, cherry, oak & walnut. The Starter Kit comes with one Mini-X Miller Drill bit and 100 birch Mini-X Miller Dowels.
The 1X is 2-3/4" long and works in stock up to 1-1/8". The dowels come in packs of 40 and are available in birch, cherry, oak & walnut. The Starter Kit comes with one 1X Miller Drill bit and 50 birch 1X Miller Dowels.
